Summary

PRN (ON CALL) POSITION

JOB SUMMARY: Performs preparation and service of food under general supervision. Duties may involve cold preparation and assembly; cutting, chopping, portioning of food products; assembly of patient food trays; cafeteria assignments (cashiering, serving, etc...); dishroom; stock management and other tasks as assigned. Will be cross-trained in a variety of tasks within the Food Services department, and may provide support to the Coffee and Smoothie Bars. May be trained to utilize the steamers, warmers/ovens and fryers, to support cafeteria production. Takes into consideration age related factors in the preparation and delivery of food for patients, staff and visitors

REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred High School Diploma
• Less than 2 years Courses or experience in quantity food preparation preferred.
• SERVE SAFE Certification (Preferred)

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Basic reading and comprehension skills. Ability to perform math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in order to do production tally and run a cash register.
