Staff Accountant, AstraAstra Vertical Staff Accountant OpportunityAs a staff accountant, you will be a critical piece of the daily accounting functions of the Astra Vertical. In addition, you will be a key partner of a constantly achieving best-in-class finance and accounting team. This role will focus on processing the day-to-day accounting activities of our holding companies, ensuring timely and accurate transactional records while meeting regular deadlines. The staff accountant will be responsible for helping to ensure accurate and timely monthly accounting closes for the holding companies of Orion. This role will be based in Boulder, CO.Job DutiesStaying current with recording weekly cash transactionsLead the processing and coding of bill via Accounts payableVerify payment of invoices associated with accounts payableProperly record prepaid expenses & fixed assetsProperly record leases and assist Operating Companies in review of lease schedules and monthly postings.Communicate and administer allocations to subsidiary companiesAssist with Intercompany transactions, expense reimbursement, and payrollRoll forward & maintain monthly reconciliations and lead schedulesPreparing numerous journal entries pertaining to month-end closeAssist with debt entries for acquired companies.Monthly analysis and reporting of Astra Vertical operating expenses.Monthly analysis and reporting of vendor and travel spend.Completion of FloQast checklist and reconciliations tracker.Other Ad hoc duties as assignedAssist with corporate projects as assigned.Model the highest ethical standards and behaviors of the organizationCandidate AttributesBachelor's degree in accounting1-2 Years of related experienceUnderstanding of US GAAP principlesExcellent interpersonal skills with attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong software and excel backgroundAbility to travel as needed (approximately 15%)
