Must-Have: Rehab experience or medical surgical experience with prior travel.

Description: This is a rehabilitation unit with 10 private rooms. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5. Common diagnoses include 40% stroke with a mix of trauma, orthopedic, neurological cases, and various disabilities. The average length of stay is 10-14 days. RNs are required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab. The charge nurse takes patient assignments and travelers may also serve as charge nurses. There are nurse aides available during the day and evening shifts; however, there is no aide during the night shift. Registered nurses will administer nebulizer treatments and inhalers while respiratory therapists manage CPAP and BiPAP during nights. Shifts available include 12-hour shifts. Every other weekend and holiday work is required. There are no call or standby requirements. Floating is necessary to similar medical surgical and telemetry units. Scrubs should be clean and professional in any color. All clinicians must clock in and out during their shifts.
