IV Sterile Compounding Staff Pharmacist in Syracuse, NY

Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This direct hire position offers an opportunity for an experienced Home Infusion Pharmacist to contribute to patient care within a dynamic healthcare setting. The role focuses on IV verification, overseeing pharmacy technician activities, and direct patient communication, ensuring safe and effective medication management.

Responsibilities:

Verify intravenous (IV) medication orders for accuracy and safety
Supervise pharmacy technicians in daily operations
Communicate with patients regarding their medication therapy and answer inquiries
Support sterile compounding processes as needed to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications:

Current New York State pharmacist license is required
Hospital pharmacy experience, particularly in home infusion, is essential
Knowledge or hands-on experience with IV compounding is a strong advantage
Clean background with no DUI or related issues

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
