Compassionate Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW)

Hope for Mental Health Services

Position Overview

Hope for Mental Health Services is seeking dedicated and licensed mental health professionals for a full-time Remote Mental Health Counselor position. We invite compassionate and skilled individuals such as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC), and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers (LICSW) to provide impactful therapy to adults facing mental health challenges. This role allows you to maintain a flexible schedule while delivering vital support to clients in a secure remote setting.

About the Organization

At Hope for Mental Health Services, we believe in the profound capability of therapy to transform lives. Our organization is dedicated to providing high-quality, empathetic mental health care via telehealth services to clients across Spokane, Washington, and beyond. We are committed to fostering a supportive community for our counselors and clients alike, enabling personal growth and resilience through enhanced mental well-being.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, offering optimal flexibility to manage your professional commitments alongside your personal life. Utilizing our advanced telehealth platform, you will connect with clients via secure video calls, allowing you to engage in deep therapeutic conversations from the comfort of your own home or any location of your choice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients aged 18 and above through video conferencing, working to address mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges.
  • Encourage clients to share their experiences and feelings, fostering a supportive atmosphere that promotes self-exploration and insight into their mental well-being.
  • Collaborate with clients to set achievable goals while developing tailored treatment plans based on their individual needs using evidence-based strategies.
  • Regularly assess clients' progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes and client satisfaction.
  • Be a reliable client advocate by providing emotional support and guiding them through the therapeutic process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will primarily consist of pre-screened, stable adults who present with low acuity issues. The clients are matched to your expertise, ensuring that your skills and specialties align with their therapeutic needs. This focused approach allows for effective intervention without the challenges that come with managing severe mental health crises.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
  • Must hold a full, unrestricted license to practice independently in your field: LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW.
  • No limited or provisional licenses; disciplinary actions will disqualify applicants.
  • Strong ability to make professional evaluations and recommendations regarding treatment planning.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, combined with a compassionate and empathetic approach to therapy.
  • Proficiency in using technology, enabling effective communication and management of telehealth responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in providing therapy in a remote setting or through telehealth platforms.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and addressing a range of mental health concerns.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques and practices.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary ranging from $52,000 to $70,000 per year based on hours worked and experience level.
  • Weekly direct deposit for timely compensation.
  • For full-time counselors, a monthly healthcare stipend is provided to support your personal health needs.
  • Minimal paperwork, allowing you to concentrate on providing exceptional care.
  • Comprehensive billing support, alleviating the stress of administrative tasks while maximizing your time spent with clients.
