Your future role at a glance Location: Austin, TX Facility: Seton Medical Center-Austin Department/Specialty: Interventional Radiology Schedule: Days | Full-time | 7:30am - 3:30pm How you'll make an impact in this role Provide high-level nursing care during complex vascular and non-vascular procedures, including biopsies, stent placements, and embolizations, ensuring strict adherence to sterile techniques and radiation safety protocols. Expertly monitor patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and sedation levels (Moderate Sedation) throughout the periprocedural phase, rapidly identifying and intervening in cases of vasovagal responses or contrast reactions. Serve as a versatile member of the IR team by circulating to manage equipment and documentation, or scrubbing in to assist the Interventional Radiologist with guidewire, catheter, and sheath manipulation. Manage comprehensive patient throughput, including pre-procedure screening for lab contraindications (e.g., INR, Creatinine) and post-procedure access site management, ensuring hemostasis and providing detailed discharge education. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Preferred Credential(s): Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
