We are looking for a talented Occupational Therapist for the school year.

Hourly Rate Range : $50.00-$70.00 per hour

Responsibilities would include:

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' motor, sensory, and functional needs.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to integrate therapy strategies into the learning environment.
• Recommend and implement adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and classroom modifications to improve student accessibility and participation.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Michigan Department of Education (MDE), Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE), and IDEA requirements.
• Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, eligibility determinations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Provide training and consultation to teachers and staff on strategies to support student independence and educational success.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Michigan Occupational Therapist License issued by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to the start of employment.
• NBCOT Certification preferred.
• Experience working with school-aged children and/or in a school-based setting preferred.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary special education teams.
• Criminal background check and fingerprint clearance as required for employment in a Michigan school setting.
