Registered NurseThe Registered Nurse role is responsible for the provision of integrated nursing/medical services in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of persons with mental disorders, co-occurring substance abuse, and general medical conditions within their scope of practice. They coordinate integrated care with internal and external providers of mental health, physical health, and substance use disorders. The Registered Nurse monitors and manages general medical conditions focusing on the most common conditions including hypertension, diabetes, asthma/COPD, overweight, obesity, and tobacco use.The starting pay for this position is $60,350 and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.As a member of our team, you will have an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our community and the lives of the individuals that we serve. We've shared some highlights below, but you can visit the benefits guide posted on our careers page to learn more!QualificationsRequired:Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursingCurrent, unrestricted, State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) licensureCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Saving (BLS) certificationValid and unrestricted Michigan Driver's LicenseReliable transportation and current proof of auto insurancePrior clinical experience and demonstrated proficiency in providing clinical and nursing services including, but not limited to: collecting vitals, performing injections, and point of care testingPrior clinical experience and demonstrated proficiency in medical management, crisis, and behavior management techniquesWorking knowledge of medical terminology used in a mental health settingExperience with the application of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) in health care organizationsProficient with computers and Microsoft office productsProficient in the use of electronic health records (EHRs)Ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary teamAbility to use discretion and judgment when handling matters of a sensitive or confidential natureAdvanced time management, problem solving, customer service, interpersonal, conflict resolution and crisis intervention skillsAbility to be forward thinking and take initiative to accomplish goals and objectives of the departmentAbility to work in a fast-paced office environment with the usual pressures of managing multiple priorities with time constraintsAbility to communicate effectively, professionally, and courteouslyAbility to work max 24 hours per weekPreferred:Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursingAt least 1 year of experience as a registered nurse providing face-to-face, clinical services in any of the following settings: Behavioral Health, Community Mental Health, Psychiatric Hospital, State facility, Ambulatory Behavioral Health, Crisis Center, Substance Use Facility, Partial Hospital Program, Residential Program, or similarUse of health registries including the Michigan Automated Prescription System (MAPS), PMP AWARxE Program, Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP).General knowledge of the community mental health system based on the Michigan Mental Health Code and MDHHS contractEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
