Base pay range $85.00/hr - $100.00/hr A leading global financial services firm is seeking an Experienced Data Solution Architect to join its Data Architecture & Modeling team in New York, NY. This role sits at the center of enterprise data strategy and offers high visibility across senior leadership, bankers, and cross‑functional technical teams. Details: 6-month contract (Extension Highly Likely) Compensation: $80 - $100 per hour NYC, NY | Hybrid | 3 Days On-Site Responsibilities: Partner with senior stakeholders to capture workflows, define data domains, and map business requirements. Design logical and semantic data models that align with enterprise data architecture. Define key attributes, hierarchies, and rules for core datasets (funds, sponsors, coverage, deals, etc.). Explore, validate, and shape raw data using SQL, Python, and Databricks. Collaborate with data engineers on ingestion, transformations, and enrichment. Prototype transformations and pipelines before handing off to engineering for production builds. Present models, gather feedback, and iterate to ensure accuracy and alignment. Serve as a bridge between business partners and technical teams. Mandatory Requirements: 6+ years of experience in data architecture, solution design, or hybrid business/data roles. 5+ years of experience in SQL, Python, PySpark. 3+ years of experience with Databricks. Understands data modeling, semantics, ontologies, and MDM best practices. Knows how to translate complex data concepts into actionable design for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
