Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate required, AWHONN Advanced preferred Must-Have: - Demonstrated ability to circulate - Proficient in performing sterile vaginal exams - Experience in large hospital settings preferred - Must be able to assist with high-risk deliveries Description: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse position available. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery. All required skills and certifications must be met. The role involves circulating and performing sterile vaginal exams. Experience in a large hospital setting is highly preferred. Weekend shifts may exceed the usual schedule to meet unit needs. Requests for specific scheduling due to outside employment will not be considered. Travel pairs will not be accepted. The facility has the capacity to call off staff once per pay period. Patient ratios during the day and night shifts are generally 1 or 2. The unit cares for high-risk pregnancies and various maternal conditions. Necessary skills include managing labor, recognizing abnormal fetal heart rates, and using external fetal monitoring. Candidates are expected to float between different facilities as needed. All travelers will be required to comply with facility-specific policies and requirements.
