Trademark Associate

Los Angeles, CA; New York, NY; Raleigh, NC; Washington, D.C. Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in multiple offices for a Trademark Associate in our Intellectual Property Department. The ideal candidate will have two to three years of trademark prosecution experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate who thrives in a fast-paced IP environment and wants to develop deep expertise in trademark and copyright law while gaining exposure to high-profile matters. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position. Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice in the state where the office resides. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Strong academic record and excellent written and oral communication skills required. Experience with trademark prosecution and portfolio management, enforcement, clearance, and counseling preferred. Some experience with trademark and copyright litigation and/or with proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board preferred. Law firm experience preferred. Work Environment & Physical Demands This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers. Physical Requirements Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. The salary ranges for this position apply to California, New York and Washington, DC. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $215,000 – $230,000 in California, New York and Washington, DC.
