Press Operator

Join MAT Industries, Inc. for an exciting opportunity as a Press Operator on the first shift. Earn a competitive starting rate of $19.50/hour and receive a $1,000 Sign‑On Bonus. Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm (10‑hour shift with three paid breaks and a 30‑minute unpaid lunch). Responsibilities Experience setting up and running presses, including occasional progressive presses. Follow all safety regulations and encourage co‑workers to do the same. Follow all company policies and procedures and encourage co‑workers to follow them. Read and interpret blueprints for product specifications. Conduct quality inspections of work. Maintain equipment in good working condition and report maintenance and safety concerns. Conduct repairs, modifications, and retrofits on production items. Provide data to assist in monitoring and tracking project status. Assist in training junior employees and inspecting their work. Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects. Sign off on completed work orders and quality of work. Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques. Actively participate in the development of a LEAN manufacturing culture. Qualifications 2+ years of experience operating presses, including overhead cranes. 2+ years of experience with LINK systems automation controls. High school diploma or GED.
