Water/Wastewater Transmission and Utilities Project Manager

Freese and Nichols is seeking Water/Wastewater Transmission and Utilities Project Manager in our Frisco or Dallas, Texas office. As Project Manager, you will manage projects through study, design, and construction phases for water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, stormwater pump stations, pipelines, and utility infrastructure.What You’ll DoServe as the primary client contact and keep clients informed on project status, schedule, and key decisionsManage projects through study, design, and construction phases for pump stations, lift stations, pipelines, and utility workPerform and direct complex studies and investigations and prepare reports of findingsManage and support direct reports in technical engineering and contribute to growth of team membersCoordinate project phases to keep work aligned with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectationsSelect equipment and materials and review manufacturer shop drawings for project useReview calculations, seal drawings and reports, and maintain continuity, conformity, and quality across project deliverablesDirect assignments, schedule work, and provide technical oversight to engineers, technicians, designers, drafters, and field representativesAdvise construction teams on questions and issues that arise during construction and communicate with agencies, vendors, contractors, and partner firmsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or mechanical engineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Texas6+ years of experience designing water pump stations, wastewater lift stations, and large and small diameter pipelinesExperience managing projects through study, design, and construction phasesExperience leading technical staff and reviewing engineering work for quality and consistencyPreferred8+ years of engineering experienceExperience serving as the primary client contact for municipal infrastructure projectsExperience coordinating with regulatory agencies, vendors, contractors, and partner firmsExperience reviewing shop drawings and selecting equipment and materials for conveyance projectsExperience managing and supervising staffAbout Freese and NicholsAt the heart of our culture is our LEADS values (Learn continuously, Engage as family, Act with integrity, Deliver quality, and Serve always).
