Chemical Treatment Operator

Processes metal parts through the chem treat line (clean/degrease, iron phosphate, aluminum passivation).

Loads and unloads parts in chem treat baskets.

Understand and follow work order documentation and standard work.

Operate crane hoist in a safe and controlled manner.

Maintains bath temperature and rinse water quality.

Safely handle chemicals and make chemical additions to treatment baths.

Assist with tank cleanout activities.

Recognize and report processing discrepancies.

Follow company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

High school diploma.

Experience in a coating environment a plus.

Basic understanding of pH and chemistry or basic chemistry lab experience plus.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Good problem-solving skills.

Ability to lift 25 lbs with or without accommodations.

Environment may be wet when spraying tanks.

Processing parts requires working on elevated platform (cat walk).

PPE includes hearing protection and hard hat.

PPE occasionally requires rubber boots, apron, and face shield in wet environments.
