Collections SpecialistLocation: McLean, VA – OnsiteAssignment Type: Temp-to-PermanentCompensation: $26.00 – $28.00 / Per hourWork Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PMBenefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).Key ResponsibilitiesManage accounts receivable activity for an assigned portfolio of commercial propertiesContact delinquent tenants and collect outstanding rental paymentsResearch and resolve tenant billing questions and account discrepanciesPerform customer account reconciliationsReview lease language to understand tenant payment obligationsCommunicate with tenants by phone and email regarding outstanding balances and billing issuesMaintain accurate documentation of tenant interactions and collection activityPresent collection efforts and account status during monthly AR meetingsPartner closely with Lease Administration and internal accounting teamsTake ownership of assigned accounts and manage changing priorities and deadlinesProvide strong customer service while ensuring adherence to lease termsIdentify roadblocks or account issues and proactively research solutionsBuild and maintain positive working relationships with tenants and internal staffSupport special projects and additional AR-related responsibilities as neededQualifications2+ years of accounts receivable and/or collections experience requiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong customer service and relationship-building skillsIntermediate Microsoft Excel skillsProficiency with Outlook and WordStrong attention to detail and analytical ability
