Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist experienced in long-term care settings, ready to contribute to a dedicated pharmacy team supporting skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice patients. The position offers a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement.

Schedule/Hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for multiple care settings including skilled nursing and hospice.
• Inspect packaged medications, including blister-packed items, as well as sterile and non-sterile products.
• Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, providing clinical support and medication-related guidance.
• Manage controlled substances by counting and maintaining accurate perpetual inventory records.
• Monitor and check emergency medication boxes to ensure readiness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania, in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year pharmacist experience, with long-term care pharmacy preferred
• Physical ability to sit, stand, perform fine motor tasks, maintain visual acuity, and lift up to 30 pounds

Technology Familiarity:

• Experienced with QS1, Docutrack, and PCC pharmacy operating systems
