The University of Virginia (UVA) Community Health Anesthesiology Department is seeking anAmerican Board of Anesthesiology certified or certification-eligible candidateto join our dynamic Anesthesiology team in the growing Northern Virginia area. Responsibilities:

• Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care
• Participates in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation
• Medical supervision of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs)
• Formulates a patient-specific plan for anesthesia care
• Implements monitors and adjusts patient's physiologic condition as appropriate for type of anesthesia and specific patient's needs
• Transfers the responsibility for care of the patient to other qualified providers post-operatively to assure continuity of care and patient safety
• Supports operating room procedures
• Participates in additional areas of responsibility
• Assumes responsibility for professional development of self and contributes to and assists with the professional development of others
• Call not to exceed 1 in 4

The base compensation range for this role is $469,881 - $596,311 for a 1.0 clinical FTE status.

Individual compensation will be determined by fair market value and the selected candidate's qualifications, clinical experience, specialty training, credentials, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs, such as productivity, quality, non-productivity, or other incentives that may be available for eligible positions.
