Securities Operations Specialist - Settlements

About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Operations Specialist as part of the Trust and Brokerage Settlements team. This team is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate settlement of trading activity. The team also supports system testing, process improvements, and operational readiness initiatives. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.The Specialist review and approve trades for settlement, support foreign exchange (FX) transactions, perform sanctions screening, reconcile cash and securities activity, and complete daily balancing and control functions with custodians and other business partners.In this role, you will:Participate in low to moderately complex lifecycle support initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements within Securities OperationsReview and analyze basic or tactical functional operational tasks or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives; exercise independent judgment related to low-to-medium risk deliverablesPresent recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations related to a full process within a trade environment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsProvide information to, collaborate, and consult with peers, colleagues and managers, including internal and external customers, to resolve issues and achieve goalsDevelop expertise in the following operational processes including client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, and general ledger reconciliationResolve low to moderately complex escalated issues within the scope of responsibility in Security OperationsResearch low to moderately complex business risks, provide input into policies, enhance customer satisfaction, and review time sensitive documents and transaction requestsExercise independent judgment in understanding trade settlement workflow controls to minimalize the effects of operational breakdownsSupport overall effectiveness of the team according to plans; monitor daily securities and cash related production workContribute and may lead implementation of projects, new or revised processes, and procedures that require coordination among operation teams and perform analysis for initiatives that support business strategies making decisions on matters with financial impact and riskRequired Qualifications:2+ years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:1+ year of trust, brokerage and/or securities operations experience1+ year of settlement-related experienceStrong attention to detail and accuracy skills and solid problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently, proactively, and innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgmentCustomer service focus with the ability to listen to customer needs and recommend solutionsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsEffective organization, multitasking, and prioritizing skillsIntermediate Microsoft Office skillsExperience with Alteryx, Xceptor, or other technology solutions used to drive process transformation, automation, and operational efficiency.Job Expectations:Ability to work a hybrid scheduleWillingness to work on-site at stated location on the job openingThis position is not eligible for Visa SponsorshipPosting Location:Charlotte, North CarolinaPosting End Date: 3 Sep 2026*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.We Value Equal OpportunityWells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
