Production Support Engineer

Our people make us who we are, and we create incredible products and experiences that empower us to THINK OUTSIDE.Position Overview:As a Production Support Engineer, you will lead cross-functional product development and manufacturing engineering initiatives from concept through production, with responsibility for cost, quality, schedule, performance, reliability, and operational objectives. You will apply the Polaris Development Process (PDP), Polaris Production System (PPS), and Lean principles to support new product introductions, manufacturing process development, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Management, Sales, and suppliers to develop manufacturable, cost-effective solutions and resolve technical and operational challenges. This role provides an opportunity to influence both product and manufacturing outcomes through cross-functional leadership, technical problem solving, and process improvement.Key Responsibilities:Lead cross-functional product development and manufacturing engineering programs from concept through production, with accountability for schedule, cost, quality, performance, reliability, and overall program success.Direct programs and projects using the Polaris Development Process (PDP) and Polaris Production System (PPS), ensuring requirements, deliverables, milestones, and business objectives are achieved.Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and team assignments while coordinating issue resolution across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Management, and suppliers.Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting manufacturing and product issues, conducting root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and developing sustainable solutions for production and field concerns.Partner with cross-functional teams and suppliers to develop manufacturable, cost-effective product and process solutions, including new product features, technologies, and improved manufacturing methods.Drive manufacturing efficiency and continuous improvement through process optimization, technology implementation, structured problem solving, and Lean principles.Communicate program status, risks, resource needs, technical recommendations, and key decisions to leadership and stakeholders.Support documentation, training, and successful implementation of new products and manufacturing processes.Desired Competencies:Leadership: You inspire, guide, and empower others to achieve their best by setting clear direction, fostering trust, and creating an environment where people feel supported, motivated, and accountable for delivering results.Collaboration: You work effectively with others across functions and levels, contributing to shared goals while respecting different perspectives.Problem Solving: You identify issues, assess root causes, and implement practical solutions that balance speed, quality, and risk.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering.Minimum of 2 years of program leadership or engineering project/design leadership experience in a similar industry.Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence others and build effective working relationships with managers, leaders, staff, and cross-functional partners.Strong project planning, organization, and administrative skills, including an understanding of how program objectives, tools, and resources relate across functions.Demonstrated ability to make decisions and take action while maintaining a focus on quality and customer needs.Ability to work effectively under pressure.Riding experience and/or interest in recreational vehicles.This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.#LI-NT1To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.We are an ambitious, resourceful, and driven workforce, which empowers us to THINK OUTSIDE.
