Ophthalmologist (Non-Surgical Opportunity)

Location: New Haven, CT
Schedule: Full-Time

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Ophthalmologist to join a growing ambulatory care team in New Haven, CT. This is a primarily office-based, non-surgical position focused on providing comprehensive ophthalmic care to a diverse patient population. While surgery is not required, opportunities to operate alongside residents may be available for interested candidates.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat diseases, disorders, and injuries affecting the eye and visual system.
  • Provide comprehensive ophthalmologic evaluations and medical management.
  • Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care using sound clinical judgment.
  • Develop appropriate treatment plans and coordinate follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
  • Practice within the scope of licensure, credentialing, and clinical privileges.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
  • Eligible for or currently holding an active Connecticut medical license.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Eligible for hospital admitting privileges as required.
  • Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are preferred but not required.
  • Passion for serving diverse and underserved patient populations.
