About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients, including vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-Hyst procedures
• Manage high-risk obstetric patients with appropriate clinical interventions and monitoring
• Perform immediate newborn care following delivery
• Operate Baxter Pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink
• Float to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU as needed

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Immediate newborn care experience required
• NRP certification required
• BLS/ALS certification required
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required

• Circulating experience in the OR for Cesarean sections or other surgical procedures
• Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced L&D environment
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink documentation systems

• Join a high-acuity, 16-bed Labor & Delivery unit at a regionally recognized referral center offering a Level III NICU and comprehensive women's services
• Work within a collaborative team environment supported by charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and RNs across all shifts with patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
