Compensation:

• Hourly Range: $30.15 – $37.69 (based on 0–10 years of experience)

• Annual Salary Range: $62,712 – $78,395.20

Position Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist (RT) is a vital member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing age-appropriate, therapeutic, and diagnostic cardiopulmonary services under practitioner orders and departmental policies. Working under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Services Clinical Supervisor , the RT ensures quality care aligned with AARC standards of practice and hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory treatments and interventions per provider orders.

• Perform diagnostic cardiopulmonary assessments and monitoring.

• Respond to emergency situations including code blues and rapid responses.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to develop patient care plans.

• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and documentation practices.

• Maintain current knowledge of hospital policies, AARC guidelines, and regulatory standards.

• Utilize computer applications and electronic medical records efficiently.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate from an approved/accredited Respiratory Care Program.

• Current New Hampshire license or compact license (must be active at time of application).

• Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

• BLS (CPR), ACLS certified.

• PALS and NRP certifications required (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Neonatal Resuscitation certification preferred.

• 5+ years of clinical experience in respiratory care preferred.

• New graduates will be considered.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of physiology, pathology, and evidence-based respiratory practices.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Familiarity with and willingness to learn hospital software applications and EMRs.
