Contract AR/Cash Applications Coordinator

Vaco has partnered with a client on the north side of Indianapolis (Carmel/Westfield area) to hire a contract AR/Cash Applications Coordinator. The position is on‑site, full‑time, and expected to last 2–3 months. Pay ranges from $25–30 per hour depending on experience level. Responsibilities Gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment. Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared. Perform daily cash management duties, including recording bank deposits, updating and distributing cash receipt logs, and posting cash to the accounts receivable sub‑ledger. Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail. Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing. Support other accounting and finance team members, inventory management, and cost accounting. Qualifications 1+ year of experience in accounts receivable processing. Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting and bookkeeping. Superb time‑management and detail orientation. Proficiency with MS Office tools. Ability to keep company and partner confidences. Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and one of the commonly used accounting ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite. Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this role is noted above. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and may participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
