Responsibilities of an RN Staff Development Coordinator Leading orientation programs for newly hired clinical staff members. Planning and delivering recurring in-service training on clinical skills, safety, infection control, etc. Ensuring the facility maintains compliance with regulatory requirements. Conducting competency evaluations, performing floor observations, and mentoring staff to improve clinical performance. Maintain accurate documentation of employee training, in-service attendance, and certifications. Qualifications of an RN Staff Development Coordinator Previous long‑term care experience is desirable. Computer knowledge proffered. Strong instructional and presentation abilities, excellent organizational skills, and comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations. Must be a registered nurse with active license in the state of Connecticut. Knowledge of elderly, ill, and/or disabled.
