FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the OPTAR Accounting Division of PAC FLEET SUB FORCE OPS COMPONENT. Pay range FOR GS-11: $77,964 - $101,359 FOR GS-09: $64,438 - $83,774 Responsibilities You will assist in the performance of functions such as: formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will provide information about, and interprets standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications FOR GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Financial Management tasks to include drafting funding documents and correcting accounting errors utilizing automated systems such as Navy Accounting Systems; using Navy R-Supply systems to interface with Accounting Systems; and processing invoices using a Wide Area Workflow system. FOR GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: supporting senior analysts in performing Financial Management tasks to include drafting funding documents and correcting accounting errors utilizing automated systems such as Navy Accounting Systems; using Navy R-Supply systems to interface with Accounting Systems; and processing invoices using a Wide Area Workflow system. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-11 Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR Possession of an LL.M. that is related to this position being filled. OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience GS-09 Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree OR Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
