Electronics Engineer

Description This role is for engineers, scientists, and problem solvers ready to engage deeply, think critically, and build with purpose. You will be part of the FBM program, not simply launch a career. Location & Schedule Location: Lockheed Martin Space facility, Cape Canaveral, FL. This position does not support teleworking. Expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. What does this role look like? You will support FBM LE refresh and design update projects for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong electrical engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM. Key Activities Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test, and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment in support of the US Navy’s Ballistic Missile Flight Test Program. Create/update project/process documentation that align to project requirements. Work the design, procurement, assembly, test, and verification of our automated test systems, including data review, error analysis, integration, and troubleshooting. Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to all locally assigned support equipment test systems. Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal design teams to provide cost‑effective and low‑risk solutions. Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design and business teams, vendors, and customers. Support, as required, Failure Review Board activities through closure. Travel and work at alternate work sites as required, approximately 25%. Qualifications Knowledge in the design and test of electrical hardware. Ability to troubleshoot using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university. Experience with interconnect designs. Experience reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentation. Experience troubleshooting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience working in team environments and using agile methodologies. Must be able to work with direction and drive items to closure. Security Clearance While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. US Citizenship is required.
