Job Title: Chemist (Rotational shift)

Client: Food Manufacturing Company
Duration: 6 Months (with possible extension)
Location: Dayton, OH 45414
Shift: 12-hour Rotating Shift Schedule

• Week 1: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Wednesday, Thursday
• Schedule repeats every 2 weeks
• Shifts rotate monthly between Day Shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Job Summary

The Chemist will ensure products meet or exceed customer requirements for quality and food safety . This role involves monitoring quality assurance systems, supporting production operations, and applying scientific knowledge to maintain compliance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain quality assurance systems (calibration, testing, raw materials, methods, SOPs).
• Apply basic understanding of plant processes to support quality and food safety.
• Provide technical advice to production teams to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Minimize process variation, reduce waste, and support cost-saving initiatives.
• Contribute to training and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science or Chemistry OR 4-5 years of relevant experience .
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as per rotating shift schedule.
• Must successfully complete background check and drug test .
