Clinical Coordinator RN

Cedar Hills The Behavioral Health Clinical Coordinator RN monitors all Nursing staff and utilizes the nursing processes in assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating each patient's needs upon admission. Responsibilities Round on Staff/Units Staff issues/concerns – resolve or elevate Safety assessment Challenging patients present? Evidence of environmental rounding being completed Staff utilization of best practice for interaction Barriers of any kind present? Staffing Update the daily assignment sheet as appropriate based on staff capability and need (located in Sharepoint – Reports – Running List) Evaluate for current and next shift Wednesday of each week scrutinizes weekend coverage for needs Plan for next 3 days (focus on adjusting, getting coverage) Capture call ins and staffing changes on the master schedule Escalate any challenges Collateral Help to ensure that we are responding to received collaterals on day shift in a timely fashion Assist as needed with the decision on which patients to accept/deny Evaluate if Intake staffs are trending with denials for “placed at other facility” Throughput Potential Admits/DCs Anticipated discharges by unit/time Admits pending Will either of above impact staffing Foster relationships with external admission sources #J-18808-Ljbffr Cedar Hills
