Location Hollywood, Florida Summary Provides care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. Responsibilities Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment. Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition. Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources. Education & Certification Requirements Accredited Program: Respiratory Therapy (Required) BLS Certification: American Heart non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART) Certified Respiratory Therapist (TT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL) PALS Certification: American Heart non ecard (PALS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL) Additional Job Information Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: No prior work experience required. Other Information: Can be licensed as RT or TT.
