RESPONSIBILITIES Provide guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department; support and administer operational goals and monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives. Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with the manager any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction. Maintain the product menu and assist in recording product inventories. Maintain established quality assurance procedures to ensure acceptable health department and customer service standards. Support compliance with departmental budgets. Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs; ensure that customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise. Assist the Manager with administrative duties as needed. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements within the area of responsibility and report potential issues to management. Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters. QUALIFICATIONS Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED required; one to two years beverage or equivalent experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior gaming experience preferred. Minimum of one year supervisory experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Flexible to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. Manage work procedures and expedite workflow. Provide coaching and counseling to team members. Read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; communicate verbally in English; written communication skills in English may also be required. Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Obtain and maintain a license from the WV Racing Commission and/or WV Lottery as may be required for this position. Successfully complete and maintain certification in the Beverage Service Programs (TIPS and TOPS) as may be required for this position. Obtain and maintain proper food handler certification. Be ServSafe certified in accordance with WV Health Code Regulations. Perform tasks that require standing, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; frequently reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear; mandatorily possess close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance as needed in varied work areas such as confined spaces. Work in a usually loud environment. Employee may be exposed to an environment containing unrestricted second‑hand tobacco smoke. WORK CONDITIONS Regularly required to stand, use hands, and perform tasks as described in the qualifications section. Must lift and move specified weights and perform other physical tasks listed in the qualifications section. Work environment is usually loud and may contain second‑hand tobacco smoke.
