Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Nights
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30); requires every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care to a diverse patient population, including infants to geriatrics, in a fast-paced and high-volume ER setting. The position requires the ability to manage multiple patient cases simultaneously while ensuring high standards of care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the emergency department.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Perform emergency interventions and manage acute conditions effectively.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Registered Nurse (RN) license Must have an active MD or Compact License.
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, and NIHSS is required.
- 2 years of emergency room experience preferred; strong candidates with less experience may be considered.
- Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
