Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements using reservation systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient transaction processing
• Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
  Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and menu options based on guest preferences
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper handling procedures and sanitation protocols
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting stations, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
  

Requirements

Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable preferred
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and food safety regulations
Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and basic math for cash handling and sales transactions
Previous host/hostess or serving experience is advantageous; culinary or kitchen experience is a bonus

Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities

Pay: $55K - $65K per year
