ED - Wynn Hospital is a brand new state of the art facility. Beautiful building close to downtown with fun things to do. Required: NY license, 3+ years experience in specialty and travel experience. Unit is high acuity. Peds experience preferred. BLS, ACLS, TNCC or ATCN-in hand. NIH, PALS. Epic-required. Every other weekend. No block schedule guaranteed.

We strive for 1:4/1:5 ED ratios; however, may change in main ED based on staffing, census, and acuity. 68-bed unit; including super track, psych, and trauma. We also have results pending and occasional hallway beds. All private rooms. Level 3 trauma center. Comprehensive Stroke Center. Regional Cardiac Center (Cath, EP, IR). Pediatrics.

Support Staff: 1 PCT per pod. First-look RN. Triage RN. Charge RN. Secretary. RT, Lab on occasion, critical response RN. Drips: TNK, Cleviprex. Level 1 infusion for MTP.

Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics. Interdisciplinary Support: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy. Patient Diagnoses: Common Acute Complaints: trauma, chest pain, abdominal pain, sepsis, SOB, psych. Special Procedures/Unit Details: Department is high acuity due to trauma and cardiac patients. We do a lot of moderate sedation in the department, but the ED providers are credentialed to manage the sedation portion. Acute ratio is 1:4 but may flex 1:5. Subacute/supertrack ratio is 1:5-1:6.

Special Equipment: -. #Tier2 Travel Compliance SSN/DOB RTO - preferred 7 days or less. 1+ years required for submission (within specialty submitting to), travel experience preferred. Submit with recent Nursys. Valid NY State License (must have at least applied if still pending). References Required. Certifications - will allow travelers to get before starting. Permanent Staff cannot return as a traveler within a year. Candidates may float within skillset. Client will not clear without SSN (Canadian Travelers). Please ensure all international travelers apply for Social Security appointment at time of submittal. International travelers cannot cross any sooner than 10 days prior to scheduled start date. Client will not clear with pending SSN or work authorization. Local Radius: 75 miles. Local Rule: accepted at lower rate. Orientation: Minimum of 3 hours with a 6-hour max. Extensions: After the 3rd assignment they can do 3 more but at the Local rate. Modules: Modules are billable. Med Surg RN - 3 hours of modules. Critical Care/ED - 6 hours of modules.
