RIPA & Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Material Inventory Coordinator to manage construction materials across the company yard and active jobsites. This position supports inventory tracking, material deliveries, supplier returns, and coordination with the Purchasing team, project managers, superintendents, and field crews to ensure materials are available when and where they are needed.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documentation, reporting shortages, damage, or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for materials stored in the yard and at jobsites using Microsoft Excel and company inventory systems.
• Organize and track construction materials, conduct inventory counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate material pickups and deliveries between suppliers, the company yard, and active jobsites.
• Communicate material availability, upcoming needs, and potential shortages to the Purchasing team and project management.
• Collect, document, and coordinate the transfer or return of unused and excess materials.
• Assist with processing pick tickets, maintaining delivery records, and resolving inventory or vendor-related issues.
• Coordinate with delivery drivers, inventory personnel, suppliers, and field crews to support project schedules and minimize delays.
• Maintain safe and organized material storage areas and follow established material-handling procedures.

Qualifications:

• One to two or more years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, materials coordination, logistics, or a related field.
• Construction experience preferred; underground utility construction experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with utility materials, including PVC and ductile iron pipe, fittings, valves, and precast structures, is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with inventory management systems is preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and resolve issues proactively.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with the ability to travel locally between jobsites and suppliers.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, navigate uneven terrain, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work weekends or nontraditional schedules as needed.
• Skid steer experience is a plus; training may be available.
