Travel ICU Wound Care Nurse - $2,479 per week

Job Description & Requirements Focus Staff is seeking a Travel Wound Care RN (Registered Nurse) for a 13‑week assignment in Newark, New Jersey. The role involves 12‑hour day shifts, totaling 36 hours per week. Employment is contract/travel based. Responsibilities Provide patient, family, and staff education on pressure ulcer prevention and therapeutic support, dressing selection, and adjunctive therapy. Collaborate with clinical staff, physicians, and treatment team members to deliver high‑quality wound care. Act as a resource for the treatment team, assisting with staffing as assigned. Train and manage Wound Care Team Members, including orientation, competency validation, and in‑service training. Organize and direct the interdisciplinary Wound Care Committee. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements BSN from an accredited nursing program and current RN licensure. Certified Wound Care RN with at least 2 years of experience. AHA Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Health Care Providers. Motivated, career‑growth oriented, with excellent communication skills and a strong focus on patient safety.
