Human Resources and Compliance Coordinator

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Human Resources and Compliance Coordinator, where you will be at the forefront of fostering a positive, compliant, and productive workplace environment. This vital role combines strategic HR management with rigorous compliance oversight to ensure our organization adheres to employment laws, regulations, and best practices. This role will assist employee onboarding, payroll, contract management and transportation compliance. This is an in-person, part-time postion training at 25 hours per week to potential full-time position based on business needs. Compensation: $30.00 – $35.00 per/hour (depending on experience) Job type: Part- time training with Full- time potential Location: Derry NH (in office/on-site) Key Responsibilities Payroll Assist with regular payroll processing and timecard auditing using Paychex. Prepare and submit mandatory certified payroll reports Contract & Compliance Management Maintain, track and organize active client contracts. Assist with insurance certificates, bonds, client requirements Workers compensation Driver Qualification & Safety Maintain Driver Qualification (DQ) files for new and existing employees Manage the Drug and Alcohol testing program and random testing pools Coordinate annual safety training Calculate and file quarterly fuel taxes (IFTA) accurately Onboarding & HR Support Assist with the complete onboarding process for new hires Collect and verify all required employment paperwork Qualifications Proven experience in human resources management with strong knowledge of payroll processing systems (Paychex Flex preferred). In-depth understanding of employment & labor law regulations including FMLA, OSHA standards, workers’ compensation policies, and affirmative action planning. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage employee relations effectively and resolve conflicts professionally. Proven experience with DOT compliance and DQ file management Direct experience handling certified payroll reports Familiarity with fuel tax tracking and reporting Strong organizational skills and strict attention to detail Background in construction is preferred Other tasks as assigned Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
