The Department of Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality is the largest student employer at Illinois State University. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in scheduling, using Caterease, for Registered Student Organization events in the Bone Student Center.
• Act as office receptionist.
• Assist RSO's in planning events, including but not limited to; room layouts, operations and production needs, and day of event schedules.
• Provide room diagrams for clients and operations staff using Socialtables software.
• Approve use agreements, set reminders and follow up with clients to confirm details of event.
• Handle and complete web requests.
• Special projects as assigned.
• General clerical duties as assigned.

Pay Rate

$15.25/hour

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student, maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0. Candidates must be in academic and judicial good standing
• Priority given to candidates with multi-semester availability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize, and pay close attention to detail
• Effective time management skills, with an emphasis on punctuality and reliability
• Ability to work closely with others on a team

Work Hours

5-10 hours per week during normal business hours

Functional Expectations

• Remain at a workstation for extended periods.
• Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
• Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
