Information Technology - Quality Assurance Analyst I

Responsibilities Evaluate and test new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify programs functions according to valid user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines Assist the Funds with the development of reusable, well-thought-out testing scripts and perform code review Provide assessment and recommendations with testing environments, change management procedures, and testing tools Review requirements, specifications, functions, performance, reliability, usability, testability, scalability, and security within the software Analyze quality assurance metrics and track defects, defect counts, and test results Utilize business requirements and test cases to build manual test cases Utilize manual test cases to build automated test cases in automated testing tools Understand and translate valid customer’s business requirements and needs into test cases with expected results Participate in weekly meetings and maintain daily or as needed communication with users and systems programmers in order to compile comprehensive valid requirements and work through issues Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent years of experience required Minimum four (4) years relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Technical Analyst, or similar position in the IT field required Knowledge and hands on experience in testing web-based applications using testing tools such as SmartBear, Mercury, open source testing tools, and Rational Robot Knowledge of software QA methodologies, QA Processes, test data management, and software development life cycle CSTE ( Certificate Software Testing Engineer) certification a plu Thorough understanding of the healthcare industry (health insurance, employee benefits, medical claims processing, or member eligibility) preferred Strong technical analysis and problem solving skills a must Ability to work well in a team environment, meet tight deadlines and handle several projects simultaneously Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide solutions #J-18808-Ljbffr 1199SEIU
