You support the store’s daily operations by providing friendly service, accurate transactions, and helpful assistance, while also preparing and serving fresh, high-quality food that our community can trust and enjoy. By maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment in both the store and deli, you help the cooperative deliver great service, consistent quality, and a shopping experience that keeps customers coming back. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 25- 30% Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the store and deli. 10% Complete accurate sales transactions including ringing up purchases, handling payments, processing fuel sales, and following cash-handling procedures. 10% Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by following sanitation procedures, cleaning equipment and work areas, and keeping shelves, coolers, and deli cases stocked and tidy. 10% Support daily store operations such as stocking products, rotating inventory, checking dates, and assisting with opening/closing tasks. 10% Follow all safety, food handling, and cooperative policies to ensure compliance with health regulations, store standards, and customer expectations. 10-50% Prepare, cook, and serve deli food items according to food safety standards, portion guidelines, and daily production needs. 10-20% Work as a reliable team member by communicating clearly, assisting coworkers during busy times, and being flexible across cashier, customer service, and deli duties. Team Member Expectations Be friendly and helpful to every customer and coworker. Talk and listen in a respectful way so the team can work well together. Show up on time, stay focused, and finish your tasks without needing reminders. Follow all safety and food rules to keep people healthy and safe. Pay attention to details when handling money, making food, or stocking items. Keep your work areas clean, organized, and ready for customers. Be flexible and help where needed, especially when the store gets busy. Treat everyone with honesty, respect, and a positive attitude. Take care of store equipment and follow all policies to protect the cooperative. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Ability to learn Point of Sale (POS) systems and business accounting systems. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
