Senior Automation Tester

The DHHS_IT Senior Automation Tester will play a critical role in supporting the Managed Care Transition Project by performing quality assurance and testing activities on key in-house systems. This position involves developing and executing automated test suites, functional, integration, and regression tests, and collaborating with business teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of healthcare claims processing applications. Responsibilities:

• Assess testability of requirements and develop test cases based on Business Requirements and Software Design Documents.
• Execute functional, integration, and regression tests to ensure software quality.
• Develop and script automated test suites to enhance testing efficiency.
• Create and run SQL queries to support testing activities.
• Review, analyze, and report test results to stakeholders.
• Utilize test and defect management tools such as HP ALM and JIRA.
• Test web applications, with a focus on healthcare claims processing.
• Collaborate with end users to ensure comprehensive user acceptance testing.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing concurrent deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
• Follow Agile methodology practices in testing processes.

• Minimum 5 years experience assessing testability and developing test cases from business and design documents.
• Minimum 5 years experience executing functional, integration, and regression tests.
• Minimum 3 years experience testing web applications.
• Minimum 3 years experience reviewing, analyzing, and reporting test results.
• At least 2 years experience with TOSCA automated testing tool.
• At least 2 years demonstrated proficiency in QA and testing of EDI applications.
• At least 2 years experience developing SQL queries.
• At least 2 years experience working with business teams to write business and QA documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with test and defect management tools such as HP ALM and JIRA (highly desired, 2 years).
• Knowledge of Agile methodology (highly desired, 2 years).
• Experience scripting automated test suites (1 year).

• All work must be completed on-site as required by management discretion.
• Absences longer than two weeks require prior approval and must provide contact information.
• Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• The position is scheduled from August 17, 2026, through June 18, 2027.
• Work schedule details and shifts will be determined by management, with an expectation of immediate availability.
