Senior Mechanical Project Manager

Senior Project ManagerA well-established mechanical contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects throughout the San Diego region. This role will manage projects from preconstruction and turnover through procurement, field execution, financial management, and closeout.This is a strong opportunity for an experienced mechanical construction professional who has managed complex HVAC and piping scopes and is comfortable working directly with owners, general contractors, field teams, vendors, and subcontractors.Key ResponsibilitiesManage commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects from start through closeoutOversee project budgets, cost forecasting, schedules, procurement, and overall financial performanceManage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and project documentationCoordinate equipment, materials, subcontractors, vendors, and field laborReview plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirementsWork closely with field leadership to maintain schedule, quality, and project executionLead project meetings and maintain communication with owners, general contractors, engineers, and internal teamsTrack project costs, change management, billing, and profitabilityIdentify project risks and proactively resolve scheduling, coordination, and constructability issuesSupport project turnover, commissioning, punch list, and closeoutRequirements7–10+ years of project management experience within mechanical constructionStrong commercial HVAC and mechanical contracting backgroundExperience managing projects through the full construction lifecycleKnowledge of HVAC equipment, mechanical piping, controls, and related building systemsStrong understanding of project budgets, forecasting, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change ordersExperience working with general contractors, owners, engineers, field teams, and subcontractorsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyProficiency with construction project management software and Microsoft OfficeExperience with healthcare, life science, higher education, government, military, data center, or other complex commercial projects is a plusDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive compensation based on experienceMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid holidays and PTOLong-term growth opportunity with an established mechanical contractor
