Windows Server Administrator

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented WINDOWS SERVER ADMINISTRATOR to join our team in QUANTICO, VA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022) while monitoring server performance and optimizing resource utilization. Managing Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), including domain controllers, user/group management, DNS, DHCP, and complex Group Policy Object (GPO) creation and deployment. Administering virtualized server environments utilizing VMware vSphere/ESXi or Microsoft Hyper‑V to ensure scalable and resilient infrastructure. Planning and executing automated patching, software updates, and OS deployments using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS). Hardening Windows servers in strict accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and remediating vulnerabilities identified by ACAS/Nessus scans. Maintaining enterprise backup solutions, ensuring data integrity, and participating in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning and testing. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years in Information Systems Security. A total of 8 years’ experience required without a degree. Demonstrated experience navigating the Sponsor's accreditation process and ICD 503 standards, including A&A Body of Evidence (BOE) creation. Proven experience meeting security requirements in the Sponsor's environment or similar enterprise environments. Experience collaborating across large teams to drive security initiatives and manage complex, integrated system data flows. Experience with complex network inventorying and network documentation (compliance, configuration management, patching, centralized authentication). Strong capability to create, maintain, and communicate technical, network, and security documentation. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification. Experience with the Sponsor’s primary cyber risk and compliance automation tools. Proactive self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working across teams and driving organizational change. Clearance Requirements: Must have an active current TS/SCI security clearance Physical Requirements: Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
