Help Desk Support Specialist

Salary: $50,024 - 60,258 per year Requirements:

• Proven experience in technical support or help desk roles supporting Windows and Linux operating systems and IT infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN configurations, and firewall settings.
• Hands-on experience managing Active Directory, provisioning user accounts, and applying security policies.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and network equipment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus but are not required.

• Respond to user inquiries through help desk systems and provide clear technical support for desktop computers, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues involving computer equipment, networking devices, and infrastructure components such as firewalls, VPNs, and switches.
• Diagnose and resolve software issues in Windows and Linux operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory and Group Policy Object (GPO) configurations.
• Troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, LAN, and wireless network issues to support reliable connectivity.
• Set up, configure, and maintain computer management tools and help desk ticketing systems.
• Work with team members to identify recurring issues and implement proactive solutions that improve system stability.
