As a Security Officer Access Control in Watsonville, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional assistance to patients, visitors, and staff. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to designated hospital entrances, restricted areas, and visitor checkpoints in accordance with site procedures.
• Verify credentials, issue visitor passes, maintain access logs, and direct individuals to appropriate hospital departments or locations.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned hospital areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
