Job Title: Operations Planner

Job Description

As an Operations Planner, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining master production schedules and detailed build plans. You will plan and balance capacity across assembly, test, and manufacturing resources. Your role will involve releasing and managing work orders in alignment with demand and material availability, as well as leading coordination with the supply chain to ensure timely availability of electronic and mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address constraints, shortages, or priority changes.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure BOM accuracy, routing, and manufacturing documentation support production needs.
• Support the implementation of engineering changes with minimal impact on ongoing production.
• Track and report operational KPIs including on-time delivery, schedule adherence, WIP, and capacity utilization.
• Identify planning inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in production or operations planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong understanding of electromechanical assembly and production processes.
• Experience in high-mix, low-to-mid volume manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Advanced Excel or production planning tool proficiency.

Work Environment

The role requires onsite presence and reports directly to the CEO and Production Manager. The company is experiencing significant growth, introducing new products, and requires support to help grow the business.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fair Lawn, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $62.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Fair Lawn,NJ.
