Grading Supervisor

We are seeking a Grading Supervisor to lead our field crews and effectively build and maintain strong working relationships with customer site supervisors and purchasing managers. Responsibilities The candidate should have the following skill set: Manage crew schedules and assess tasks ahead of schedule to ensure job readiness Maintain and encourage a safety-first atmosphere in line with EcoSouth's best practices Take ownership of assigned work sites and lead operational decisions within those communities Work with crews to provide a high-quality finished product that meets customer and industry standards Supervise and ensure the proper usage and day-to-day maintenance of heavy equipment The ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred Knowledge of Grading is preferred but not necessary Qualifications Skills Required: Proven experience as a Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols Ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team of workers Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities : (Duties that are likely to be assigned to this person unless they prove unable to perform them after receiving training and/or accommodations that the company judges appropriate). Demonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directions Demonstrate ability to use and operate hand tools, including reading a tape measure and using a hammer Demonstrate ability to stack material properly Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment, as well as work alone Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English effectively Must be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to wear all applicable PPE properly Physical Requirements : Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull, maximum lift – 100 lbs.; frequently lift/carry – up to 50 lbs Must be able to see within a normal range of vision with or without corrective lenses Must be able to hear running machinery Must be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively Must have exceptional eye-hand coordination Must regularly be able to squat, bend, twist, and stand Must be able to walk around regularly, using steps occasionally Compensation $65,000 - $70,000/year About EcoSouth Florida LLC At EcoSouth Florida LLC, our mission is to provide local communities with outstanding customer service and an “easy to do business with” culture.
