Family Services Consultant

As an In‑Home Family Services Specialist, you’ll support families in their own homes—helping them build stronger relationships, develop parenting skills, and overcome challenges. Your guidance can keep families together and give children the foundation they deserve. What You’ll Be Doing Providing in‑home support and teaching practical skills to strengthen families. Connecting families with community resources such as schools, healthcare, and social services. Offering crisis intervention and guidance when needed. Building strong relationships with families and collaborating with professionals like teachers, doctors, and social workers. Developing service plans, monitoring progress, and maintaining accurate documentation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field and 1 year of experience working with children and families, OR In rural Iowa: Associate’s degree and 2 years of experience, OR In rural Iowa: 4 years combined education and experience. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed). Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Bilingual skills are a plus.
