Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled Step-Down Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Auburn, NY. This specialized role requires proficiency in handling post-heart catheterizations, managing respiratory failure, and monitoring cardiac patients within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Step-Down RN

• Post-heart cath care and TR band management
• Monitoring post-vascular procedures with frequent vital signs and neurovascular checks
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Administering emergency medications and procedural sedation
• Initiate and maintain IVs and PICC line management
• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal
• Administer blood products and manage BiPAP/CPAP
• Implement infection prevention and isolation precautions

Requirements of the Step-Down RN

• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Step-Down nursing
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and management
• Experience with 12-lead EKG/ECG and dysrhythmia management
• Expertise in IV start and maintenance, PICC line management, and cardiac drip titration
• Flu and COVID-19 vaccines (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
