Job Title

Environment:

Area supports many smaller agencies and thus has a variety of duties they perform or can get pulled into

Team is with agency services for all technical needs

Custom off the shelf: COTS, understanding apps and how to integrate and prepare for use

Need:

ASAP timeframe: is not approved, but mentioned once initiated it will be.

This resource will need to understand user and network perspectives of products to help drive day to day

Network Engineer by trade, understand architecture, taking info from business requirements and translating to technical users

D2D:

Working with vendors to understand Install, upgrade, configuration understanding

Facilitating demo’s from vendors and understanding COTS products

Windows – 90%

Linux – 10%

Tracking down vulnerability of products

Azure DevOps “ADO” for intake of work initiatives

Remedy requests

Install/configuring servers: DNS, HCP, etc.

Dedicated to specific tools/products so need to be widely versed in network products

Top 3:

Windows servers

Networking certs of any kind

Background:

They love the self-taught coders and tinkering experience

SQL knowledge: nice to have

Bach of computer science – NTH

PowerBI, shell scripts, power scripts for automating: Nice to have

Examples of some of the work they can be asked to support:

Manage state vehicle infrastructure and system – state has various vehicles and kiosk style pick up points, if the kiosks are down would help trouble shoot, if fueling stations are down would help trouble shoot

They use these scanners for mailing – if those had issues would trouble shoot for those

Office infrastructure – camera systems, badge scanners
