HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Salem, Virginia.Job Description & Requirements

Unit Specifics:

· Number of Beds: 17 inpatient, 2 triage

· Patient Ratios: 1:1-2

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Secretary on dayshift only, no techs

· Type of equipment: Monica Novii, Ambulatory (Telemetry) Monitors, GE EFM

· Documentation system: Meditech, Centricity

· Scheduling requirements: 3 12-hours shifts per week

· Floating policy: MB/Postpartum

· Patient Experience requirements: AIDET, courtesy and respect

Hospital Specifics-

· Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate FM or C-EFM, NRP

Requested Skill Set: IV insertion, lab draws, JADA and BAKRI knowledge, blood administration, nitrous administration, experience with vaginal exams, setting up delivery tables for vaginal deliveries

Must have: Labor and delivery experience, strip interpretation, knowledge of common OB medications, circulator experience in C/S, PACU recovery experience for spinal anesthesia, antepartum triage, knowledge of common complications and treatments for obstetrical complaints, assist with epidural placement, teamwork approach to patient care

36 hour pay package also available
